Who We Are

Lip Service is owned & run by Patrick Clifton. Patrick is a Cambridge graduate with ten year’s experience of the music and entertainment industries. Patrick was involved in the dance music side of the business initially, and did PR for Jive Records and their imprint Pepper Records where he worked on the million- selling act The Tamperer and was involved in breaking Groove Armada. He also worked freelance for the event company Rikki Tik Productions where he worked on the Vapour tour of independent labels and set up a beach party on the Moroccan coast for Levis’ Dockers.

Patrick left Jive to work for The End, the west end nightclub that was home to Mr C and Layo & Bushwacka. Whilst there he was involved in the promotion of a host of events, both within and without the venue,  including a series of parties in Ibiza.

In 2000 Patrick joined Independiente as Junior Product manager and then worked his way up to Marketing Manager and in the last year of his tenure there was running the marketing department single-handed.  Whilst at Independiente Patrick worked with a number of well known artists including Travis, Paul Weller, So Solid Crew, Embrace, Martina Topley-Bird and The Shortwave Set (for a full summary click here).

Following six very successful years, Patrick took a brief sabbatical at the end of 2006 and in 2007 set up Lip Service Consultants with his first clients being Chris Blackwell's Palm Pictures and Blue Mountain Music companies.
